LE GUIDE HACHETTE DES VINS 2008

CHATEAU SAINTE BARBE 2005 was awarded two stars (remarkable wine). "This wine continues to keep its two stars from one year to another, a proof of its example regularity. made up with 20% cabernet grapes, the merlot from a clay soil dominates this vintage with its deep red colour who gives over to flavours of spices and resin associated with ripe red berries. Volume, roundness, fruity: the palette is lasting, structured with solid tannins but coated. The final persistant leaves a smooth impression. This bordeaux may wait two or three years".

CHATEAU MERLOT SAINTE BARBE 2005 received one star (successful wine)." made exclusively from merlot grapes and matured in vats. It is ready to drink now".
